Senior Men’s Team Communications Manager during Autumn Nations Series 2021.
The interim, live-in, role saw me plan and implement a balanced communications strategy for the duration of the campaign. I was the main point of contact between the national squad players and coaches and the media. In addition to writing press releases relating to injuries, milestones and player releases I was responsible for organising and running virtual press conferences as well as in-person interviews for the host broadcaster, ensuring that we were adhering to the strict Covid protocols that were in place at the time.
Matchday duties included liaising with broadcasters and media to organise pre, in-game and post match interviews as well as managing the post match press conference for WRU and the visiting team.
